National Age Network of Zimbabwe (NANZ) is a coalition of civic groups committed to the total elimination of age discrimination and to the mainstreaming of ageing in all development processes.
This Strategic Plan review update the first strategy covering the period 2022 to 2024. This is meant to align NANZ to reflect its priorities for action in line with the current and changing Zimbabwean landscape. Whilst this adjusts our approach to our broad strategic themes, the commitment in the strategy to conduct Annual Strategic Review Meetings to agree priorities for the coming years so that they are realistic and reflective of the situation on the ground remains the same. The strategic focal areas for NANZ in the past two years are depicted in Figure 1, below:

In the new strategy, we’ve removed Coalition building as a theme and replaced it with Humanitarian and Emergency Response. This is reflective of the focus of our work in the past two years. All the Five Themes will be delivered through working in coalition. Although a separate persona, NANZ remains committed to delivering its mandate as far as possible through its member partners. The new thematic focus areas are reflected in Figure 2 below:
