Our History

NANZ was established in 2012 to promote age inclusiveness, rights, health and research on social development. It was registered as a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO54/20) in 2020. it brings together 17 civic organisations with varying approaches and focus ranging from Child rights to Older Persons’ rights, inclusive of gender and disability.

NANZ work over time spans from;

  • labour-saving agricultural technologies
  • strengthening the agency of older persons, women and children
  • responding to pandemics
  • responding to natural disasters
  • strengthening livelihoods
  • building coalition
  • research collaborations
  • facilitating policy development
