Capacitating Internally Displaced Communities (IDPs) to fight COVID-19 and other Pandemics.
A strategy to respond to the protection needs of internally displaced people has been developed and implemented in collaboration with research partners the University of Nottingham,


Wolverhampton University, University of Zimbabwe, Women’s University in Africa and Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University in Epworth and Stappleford. The initiative is aimed at resourcing IDPs to cope with the challenges of COVID-19. This saw the installation of hand wash stations, full body wash booths and COVID-19 awareness banners in these communities as well as the construction of a health information centre.
Aiding the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme in IDPs Community

Internally displaced persons and other groups in difficult-to-reach circumstances are often left out of important programmes; COVID-19 vaccination is one such. In collaboration with the University of Nottingham, Wolverhampton University, Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU), University of Zimbabwe (UZ), Women’s University in Africa (WUA) and the Ministry of Health and Child Care, we mobilised COVID-19 vaccination roadshows in Epworth and Stapleford
